Retin-A is the most commonly recommended by dermatologists for the treatment of acne, wrinkles, and skin damage. Why?... because it is one of the most powerful products in the war against aging and other skin conditions. With many scientific studies and even my own personal use have shown these powerful results.
How Does Tretinoin Treat Wrinkles and Signs of Aging?
Tretinoin which is a topical retinoid that works by speeding up the skin cell turnover process. This allows your body to replace older skin cells on the surface of the skin with newer, fresh skin cells. What you can expect is a significant improvement in the appearance of your skin. With a big reduction in visible wrinkles and even an decrease in acne.
Most Common Side Effects Of Tretinion:
The most common side effects to expect are skin dryness, irritation, peeling and an increased level of sensitivity to sunlight. These side effects will continue until your skin has a chance to adapt, usually after a few weeks. The more less common side effects are onset dermatitis conditions. These are very rare side effects and mostly what to expect is minor dryness and skin irritation.
What Is The Difference Between Retinol And Tretinion Cream?
Even though Tretinoin and Retinol are similar and can be used for similar concerns, there is a difference. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A and is a great option for those with sensitive skin. Retinol products also contain moisturizers or emollients and can have a time release formula to reduce the possibility of irritation. Our Favorite Retinol product is Rejudicare Synergy SRX and comes in mild to maximum strength.
How To Apply Your Tretinion/Retinol:
Always apply to your skin at night and never daytime.
Before applying Tretinoin, wash your face using warm water. You can also use a small amount of mild, non-irritating soap.
Rub the tretinoin onto your forehead, cheeks, chin and other areas in which you notice wrinkles. Avoid applying tretinoin directly to you lips, nostrils and areas close to your eyes.
Wait 20 minutes before applying moisturizer if necessary. Moisturizer can help prevent the dryness and flaky skin that some people experience during the first few months of topical Tretinoin use.
Important To Remember!
Avoid excessive sun exposure, seeing Tretinoin can increase your skin’s sensitivity to direct sunlight. Remember to apply SPF 30 or greater daily and avoid spending to much time in sunny unprotected areas.
Be patient during the first few months because it does take several months before the effects of Tretinoin become visible.
Always inform you aesthetician you are using a Retiniod before receiving any service. Avoid waxing while using. Also you will be advised to stop use prior to receiving #ChemicalPeel, #LaserTreatments, #Microneedling and #Microdermabrasion.
